The Ram’s Horn Air Supply is used with nuclear hoods and disposable suits (Tyvek® and others) to supply breathing air to personnel in nuclear environments, coal-fired plants etc. The Ram’s Horn is manufactured of lightweight material and comes complete with neck straps and a belt, which supports the connecting air hose. Due to its unique design, cool breathing air is distributed to the head area for easy breathing while keeping the User cool.
An optional Combined Air/Communications Connector™ termination is available to provide a connection to a wired headset for plant communications. The product is supplied with a Hansen® 2RL male air connector with a Cannon® XLR3 electrical connector in paired configuration, unless otherwise specified. The maximum sound level within the hood is <75dBa.
