The Minicom (M-Series) is an industrial-grade, full duplex, wired Intercom System. This headset-to-headset communication system typically consists of Extension Cords, Junction Boxes and 20/40 industrial-grade Headsets, as per the recommended configuration. Technologically advanced electronics provide smooth VOX operation in quiet as well as in extreme ambient noise environments. Extension Cords and Junction Boxes complete the system to connect up to 20 Headsets for distances of 1.6km (1 mile) per Headset. In a classroom-like setting, where the distances are limited to 200ft per Headset, up to 40 Headsets may be connected together.
The headsets provide high intelligibility and set a benchmark for enhanced voice clarity in industrial-grade headsets. All electronics are contained within the earcups to eliminate the need for extra belts or harness-mounted boxes. No need to operate with dead batteries as the Low-Battery Indicator provides Users with a 24hr advance warning. When the headsets are equipped with a noise-cancelling boom microphone, the VOX can be used up to 118 dBC ambient noise level, whereas the throat microphone allows use up to 123 dBC.
