JBI Series Junction Box (Intrinsically Safe) – Rescom® Modular™ and Rescom Elite®

The JBI Series Junction Boxes are intrinsically safe and are designed for use with Rescom® Modular™ and Rescom Elite®. Their sleek, durable ABS housing design makes them easy-to-pack & carry.  As standard, all units are supplied with dust & water-resistant caps, to ensure that debris can’t get into the connectors.

They can be offered as a portable version (with handle) or a surface-mount version (w/o handle).  The surface-mounted Junction Box can be hardwired for permanent installation, such as at manufacturing facilities, inspection locations, or for field equipment calibrations.  Multiple-surface mount configurations make it easy to install on cabinets, building walls, ceilings, floors and vehicles.

Junction boxes act as break-out points for the Extension Cords or the Combined Communication/Safety Ropes™.  These Junction boxes are essential to forming a local communication system, for example, the Rescom® Modular™ – 4 Man System can use one Junction Box which allows four personnel to be connected. 

By using a JBI series Junction Box, this 4 Man System can be conveniently extended to form a larger system by connecting to other portable or hardwired Junction Box Units via Male terminated Extension Cords or Combined Safety/Communication™ Ropes.  The connection between these military-style bayonet connectors is done by SED exclusive easy-grip, rotate-and-connect design.
